Peter Arnold (cricketer)

Peter Arnold (born 16 October 1926) in Wellington, New Zealand, was a right-handed batsman and also bowled right-arm medium.
==Career==

At an early age (during the 1930s) Peter Arnold learned to play cricket at St Bede's School, Christchurch, New Zealand. He first came to England in 1950.
His cricket career lasted from 1951 to 1960. He played for Canterbury (New Zealand) and Northamptonshire. He played in 174 first class games. He scored 8,013 runs at an average of 27.53. His highest score was 122 and he scored 7 centuries in total. He also took 3 wickets at an average of 28.33. He also took 79 catches.
In the 1980s and 1990s he was on the registration and discipline committee of the ECB, chair of the Northamptonshire county cricket committee and later the President of Northamptonshire. Married to Rosemary he has two sons and two daughters.
